Transferring Domain Names

To ensure your domain transfer will be successful, please do the following before initiating the transfer.

(1) Make sure that the contact email address set for the domain's administrator is a valid email address, as it will be needed to confirm the transfer request.

(2) Login to the domain's current registrar (domain manager account) and retrieve the domain's EPP Key (also known as "Authcode" or "Domain Password").

(3) Make sure the domain is "Unlocked".

(4) Remove the ID Protection (if any).

Also note:

- Domain transfers for AU domains usually take 2 days to complete. It take about one week for most other domains (ie. .com, .net, etc).

- The nameserver settings for the domain name will remain AS IS during the transfer, this means the domain will continue to point to the hosting server that it already is.
